What to Expect at St. John’s

Here are the most common questions we are asked about visiting our congregation. Did we cover everything? If not, you can get in touch with someone HERE.

What is worship like?

On the traditional side.

Some of our practices vary, while others stay the same. But the focus of our worship is always on Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, sacrificed for the sins of the whole world.

Am I expected to donate?

No.

The offerings we collect each week are used to support the work of the church in our community and around the world. We consider gifts of any size to be expressions of thanks and praise, not obligation.

Do you offer Bible studies?

Yes!

There are regular studies on Sundays (10:15 am) and Tuesdays (10:30 am). These are generally geared toward older kids and adults. You can learn more about them HERE.

Do you have Communion?

Every week.

But we limit participation to those within our spiritual fellowship. If you have questions about this practice, Pastor Reckzin is happy to talk with you further.

Can I bring kids?

Absolutely.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone, and it’s always great to see kids in church. There is a fully furnished parents room available if you need it.

Kids from 3K-4th grade are welcome at Sunday School each week at 10:15 am on any Sunday!

I have other questions. Who do I talk to?
